Remember - make and wear one of your own masks for 8 hours straight before making a lot of them - to see how good or horrible they are to wear.
We strongly recommend 100% cotton in just 2 layers for most people's masks - these are not medical grade, this is for general use by the public.
Filters can be added to most patterns but make sure you find something that others have already tried and used successfully if additional safety filtering is needed. Pellon 830 is one material that works well as a filter and is very inexpensive to buy by the yard $1.99 at Walmart (or JoAnns if you use a coupon.) |

I will also make another video for a simple version of this shape-retaining pleated mask that has a layer of sewn-in interfacing and no filter pocket.
The interfacing I used in this video is Pellon 830, which was the only interfacing I could find in the store when I went shopping, but you may choose other light or medium-weight sew-in interfacing.
